White Oak Pottery truck...

We finally found an old work truck that was worth buying. We have been looking for a couple years for a truck to replace the van that we were using like a truck. The seats were out of it more then they were in. The truck is a '74 and only has 123,000 miles on it. There are only minor things wrong with it which we will be able to fix.......we wanted an old truck without a computer so we could fix it ourselves. We bought it in Roxboro for $1,800.00.

Progress.....

The posts are recycled from the old shed and are carrying more weight so we decided to beef them up and add braces to help carry the load and making it more stable for putting on the tin.

Burners have arrived....

We got our burners yesterday. We had them built by Cooperworks Kilns. We got all the bells and whistles on these babies.....forced air, gauges and pilot burner.

Trusses are ready....

Well, we are ready to put the trusses in place. We could not have done it without the watchful eye of our fuzzy faced supervisor....Hanna Bella. Sunday we will have a crew here to help with the task.

Back to the shed...

We've had a hard time figuring out the trusses for the kiln shed but have finally gotten five of the nine ready for Sunday when our son, Jeremy and grandson, Joseph will be coming to help us put them in place.

More of my garden...

I have picked our first summer squash. The plant is really beautiful. So are the volunteer sunflowers that came from the bird feeder.

Garden and flowers

Ready for trusses

We decided to upgrade our equipment and bought nail guns and a new compresser. It is making the job go faster and taking the stress off our arms and hands.

We are going to be building the strusses next.

My garden is thriving....

I love my garden. We will have zucchini and yellow squash soon. I have echinacea in the corner for color.....it's deer food outside the garden.
