Hens and chicks.....

I did a demo at Cedar Creek Gallery's Spring Festival on Saturday and had a really good time with all the little kids who came. I demonstrated how I make hen and chicks and was asked if I would have any at our Spring show coming up. I of course said yes and then got busy making some on Sunday.

Last raku firing.......

This was the last time for the raku kiln located where my new kiln shed will stand. Bev....as in Bev Nagy.....comes from Charlotte to use this kiln since she can't really have one at her house. She lives close to downtown in the Fourth Ward and they don't like smoke. Bev was happy with her results and can't wait till she can raku again.

The barter system....

I finished my first lantern but before the sucker was even dry I traded it for a very wonderful backed stool for my kitchen island. Bev does nice work.
